Birth Registration of Syrian Children in Turkey

According to the official figures 1.8 million Syrians are registered under the temporary protection regime as of the date of 18th March 2015 in Turkey. 20% of this number belongs to the children between the ages of 0-4. From 5 years 30 thousand Syrian children were born in Turkey. Children born in Turkey might face several problems and the risk of being stateless unless they do not have their birth registration or any document regarding to this registration. Due to these facts, it is essential for a Syrian family to go to the nearest Birth Registration Office and get their newborn babies registered.
