IMPR Humanitarian conducted Child Marriage Awareness Panel in Ankara

Child marriage is a critical human rights violation affecting children’s and women’s rights to health, education, equality, non-discrimination and to live free from violence and abuse.

Regarding on these violations, IMPR Humanitarian conducted Child Marriage Awareness Panel for refugee women together with implementing partners of UNFPA upon the issue of child marriage, its health effects, legal and ecclesiastical dimensions by experts in one’s subject, also two refugee women shared their own early marriage experience.

President of IMPR Prof. Dr. Veysel Ayhan, UNPFA Turkey Representative Karl Kulessa, other implementing partner representatives of UNFPA, Representative of European Commission, State institutions & organisations and NGO’s Representatives attended to the meeting which has also been attended by 350 refugee women from 6 different center.
