UNHCR, IMPR Humanitarian and Reyhanlı Municipality Help Desk point has been visited by Ahmet Gürel and Enver Şahin from UNHCR Hatay Office. The Help Desk Office is aiming to boost the capability of problem solving skills of refugees, ensuring the access of services, protection, guidance and empower dialog channels between local people and refugees which has been implemented for the first time in Turkey under the collaborative work of UNHCR, IMPR Humanitarian and Reyhanlı Municipality.
During the visit, IMPR Humanitarian Reyhanlı Help Desk Official stated on his presentation that IMPR Help Desk Office is a new formation and its main priority is to create an effective dialog with the Municipality’s units. In this scope, it has been also stated that the first guidances has started to be provided by Reyhanlı Municipality units. Thus, UNCHR staff has become the witnesses of concrete benefits of the collaboration between IMPR Humanitarian and Reyhanlı Municipality’s conduct during the time on their visit.
IMPR Humanitarian Reyhanlı representatives stated that they have focused on the studies for Winterization Support Program as their main priority but, it is also mentioned that there are other informative and awareness studies about work permit and business development rights at the same time. It has been also stated by IMPR Humanitarian representatives that IMPR Humanitarian is wishing to keep the collaboration with UNHCR Hatay Office in terms of starting direct case management studies after the publicity process of IMPR Humanitarian & Reyhanlı Municipality Help Desk Office.
