Objectives of Project
  • To conduct a refugee outreach and advocacy campaign on the importance of secondary education for children aged between 14-18 years old.
  • To raise awareness about available educational opportunities for Syrian refugee children.
  • To better understand the reasons behind the low enrollment and attendance rate of Syrian refugee children in secondary education. (9 to 12 grades).
Beneficiaries reached 2,000 male and female beneficiaries

Summary of the project:

This project focus on the enrollment of Syrian refugee children aged between 14-18 years old in secondary education and identify the reasons behind the low enrollment at schools. In addition, it aims to raise awareness among refugee families about the available educational opportunities in Turkey while conducting house visits. At the same time gather information about the out-of-school children. Consequently, the facilitators in the concerned provinces (Konya, Kayseri and Kocaeli) provide guidance and support for enrollment procedures in order to support refugees’ access to secondary education, as a result decrease the rate of out of school children.
